This amp is the same amp as the head version of the Warp 7 but just in a combo version. You get one 12 inch Celestion Warp speaker and the same tone as the two 12 inch combo. You won't push as much air since it is only one speaker nut the overall tone is the same. You get the same features and tone as you would the head no no loss in tone and functionality.

An FX loop is on board ready to accept your fave multi-effector; an optional footswitch lets you switch channels (CLEAN/WARP) remotely.
FEATURES Clean: Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble Warp: Gain, Master, Bass, Mid, Treble, Presence Connections: Input, FX Send, FX Return, Footswitch ready, Headphones, Speaker Out (serial) Power amp: 100-Watt Current Feedback Speaker/s: 12" Warp Custom Celestions

This amp is the same tone wise amp as the two 12 inch speaker combo. The one speaker does get less air being pushed simply because their is one less speaker but the tone is the same.

This amp takes any guitar well. You play anything with this amp and get a decent tone. With most Hughes and Kettner amps I like to play them with a good guitar with a humbucker style pickup installed. The highlight the gain very well in their amps and good humbucker sits nice with their voicing.

This was decent solid state amp when they were manufacturing them. The speaker is a nice frequency that matches the voicing of this amp quite well. It had a nice growl to it with an ultra high gain metal voicing. These were for the metal Norwegian shredders and nu-metal type of players. It has decent clean channel but let's face don't buy this amp for the clean channel. In my opinion it doesn't really need it as you aren't buying for clean but the super modern voicing and gain. However, it is a nice feature to have on tap just in case.

These guitar amps have long been discontinued. So the use market is the only way to go with these amps now a days. They can be found pretty cheap in the classifieds and ebay. I have seen them go used for right around $150, which is a steal of a price for this combo. If you need a decent solid state amp that you can play at home silently with the headphone hook up or an amp that has an MP3 hook up then this is good one.
