Times have changed and I don’t see the need to purchase this unless you are all hardware and down plan on switching over to digital (which I don’t think that many people are using all hardware anymore) But all in all this is a classic voice processor and still gets a thumbs up from me.
I actually use this live most of the time as a reverb and deesser. For that application it's great. I've tried a few units like the voiceworks and for my money I think it's the best. I'm sad that I don't use everything it offers. It's got a lot of horsepower for people who need some crazy vocal tasks to be done. In the studio or live it can...
It's expensive but well worth it if you need all the functionality. I can't really fault it in any way. It just does it all. Get one.
You can most likely get the DOD VoFX on the cheap, as it's certainly a bit outdated. Keeping this in mind, it can still do a lot for you and would be useful to have in a live setting. If you're after something that will give you the ability to self harmonize, this isn't going to be it, although you can pitch shift. I'd look at something a bit...
I'd say that this is definitely worth checking out if you are interested in really good-sounding harmonizers. If you have no interest in fake harmonies of any kind, you should definitely avoid this product. However, it is a really cool way to work out harmonies and have immediate backup vocals in a solo performance.
I think that this pedal is a great tool for exploring harmonies to an extent, and the vocoder setting is really cool. However, I didn't really get much use out of this other than the obligatory messing around. I wouldn't really use this much in a live setting or even recording, except maybe for the vocoder. I'd say that if you have a profound in...
I also own the Pedal that operates the unit. Having the foot pedal is my absolute favorite thing. You can use it to switch between patches, tap tempo effects and do something really cool...Harmony Hold. Basically you sing a note and have the harmonies come in. You hold down on the pedal and the harmonies hold their notes as you go on to othe...
Well, it hasn't given me any problems yet... I must give this piece a 20 out of 10. (I don't think that the field below will let me put anything higher than "10" in it... so...) Seriously -- it isn't that there aren't better products out there -- but NOT for under $800!!! I mean it -- you can't find a better-sounding vocal...
I have had this pedal for about 2 years and it has done exactly what I bought it for, which was voice changing effects. As far as durablity goes this pedal is not anything to brag about. After a while something happened on the inside of mine and I think some springs popped loose or something. I haven't really needed to use it in a few months so ...
