Overall, this is a great general purpose, cardioid condenser microphone that any starting musician should consider. Very durable, very transparent sound, from a reputable microphone company. This mic has lasted me several years, and I never had the need to replace it. You won't be disappointed!
To my ears this is the best pair of headphones I have ever used. You can absolutely mix with these. They are not audiophile phones in any way. Try mixing something with these and compare with a mix from your normal set up. You will probably be quite surprised. At $150.00 there is nothing better.
I was comparing these to a pair of Shure SRH440's and AKG K240 Studios and these came in dead last. While they weren't awful or even exceptionally bad I feel they weren't even in the running compared to the AKG's. The high end on these was ice picky so I couldn't wear them too long without ear fatigue. The low end was flubbier so at higher volum...
You can't beat this mic for horns! We are able to wander all over the venue playing which gets a great crowd response. The ruggedness and sound quality of this mic is unbeatable. I have also used this mic in a church setting playing classical trumpet pieces. It has NEVER let me down. Try it.
The best part of the Audio-Technica ATR25 is no doubt the cheap price! You won't find many stereo microphones for recording audio for film in this price range, as I literally don't think I've ever seen one. I should say that my focus in recording has always been on music and I don't do any sound for film or anything like that. While it's defi...
What I like most about the mic is fact that it connects USB 1.This is very convenient because if you're a novice or someone like me you're not going to want to lug around about of cables and units. They are simple to install, plug in play is what I call it. You plug one end of the usb cord into your mic and the other end into the ...
One of my main gigs is I play lead guitar in a fairly large touring pop rock band. Our sound guy and I have backgrounds in film and one day on tour he suggested we do a road documentary. I initially laughed it off and said he was crazy. But a few months and crazy chances later we actually decided to go through with it. We had a very good cam...
I really like this mic. It has great clarity. I've used it for recording acoustic guitar, bass amps, guitar amps, and vocals. For acoustic it really captured the warmth and body of the guitar. It sounded great on its own, but I also tried blending it with an SM57 (placed at the 12th fret) and it sounded phenomenal. The SM57 reall...
I only had the chance to try out the Audio-Technica ATM41HE recently for practicing with my band. I haven’t used it for anything other than vocals within this setting, but for this it sounded great. It’s definitely designed to be used in this sort of capacity, or for live shows of course as I do think that it is of the quality to be considered...
I feel like the easiest way to review this mic is to go through all its applications one by one. Vocals - Obviously this is where the 4050 really shines. It's a very warm mic and when coupled with a solid preamp it can make pretty much anyone sound good. I would agree with this. I've had one in my studio for a couple of years n...
